Meet The Artists: Eric "E.D." Diamond
With his roots firmly planted in in the ocean lifestyle, Eric Christian Diamond, aka E.D., is a 3rd generation waterman and artist from Dana Point, CA. He has been surfing Salt Creek since he was 3 years old, and his passionate contributions, legacy and heritage in the community have all come together with his event the “Cosmic Creek”, celebrating 10 plus years of art, music and surf design. His father Daryl was an early pioneer in the surf industry and lived on the bluff with legendary Surfer Magazine photographer Ron Stoner. E.D. counts among his influences his dad’s many friends including Rick Griffin, John Severson and Flame. He trained as a fine art major in college, and has had an illustrious 20-year career as a design director first with Quiksilver and then Billabong.
“I’ve traveled to so many exotic places in this wonderful world, but home is where the heart is, the clarity of the water, the contours of the bottom and the rich history of so many good surfers. Salt Creek may have changed a bit over the years, but the ocean remains healthy and beautiful. I am truly blessed to call the “Creek” my Soul Place!”
