Meet The Artists: Marisa George
Meet Marisa George. She is the artist who designed our t-shirts for Big Sur, the first Soul Place in our California Soul Art Project. By day Marisa teaches science at The Orange County School of Arts in Santa Ana, and in her free time she loves doing anything adventurous and active.
“If I could live in a redwood treehouse in Big Sur I would be so stoked”
But for now Marisa loves being surround by the beauty of Laguna Beach. Laguna is a well known artists community and it sounds like a perfect match for Marisa to be inspired from, “being creative feeds my soul”. We are so excited to have Marisa kick start our California Soul Art Project with not one but two amazing designs that reflect her number one Soul Spot, Big Sur.
The Charity: Henry Miller Library
The Henry Miller Library is a public benefit, non-profit organization championing the literary, artistic and cultural contributions of the late writer, artist, and Big Sur resident Henry Miller. The Library also serves as a cultural resource center, functioning as a public gallery/performance/workshop space for artists, writers, musicians and students.
In addition, the Library supports education in the arts and the local environment. Finally, the Library serves as a social center for the community.
