MEET THE ARTIST: Lindsey Mickleson
Lindsey Mickelson has a degree in Art Studio from USCB and studied fine art painting at the Universite de Bordeuax, France. After graduating, Lindsey invested in her own screen printing business and began printing for businesses all over California and the country. She also ran her own clothing line through the shop called CMND-Z and became a major player in the street art scene in Santa Barbara. It was at this time that Lindsey started working with Save the Mermaids and designed and printed all of their merchandise. Last year Lindsey sold her printing business, became a mom to baby girl Soleil, and started a mama and baby clothing line called Mothersun & the Captain. Lindsey now paints, designs clothes, and prints in her studio in Santa Barbara county, just a few blocks away from the beach.

The Charity: Save The Mermaids
The mermaids act as ambassadors to the sea by educating our community about human-sourced ocean pollution and advocating for behaviors that benefit the ocean environment.
Their intention is to challenge students, business owners, and members of our community to take action in their individual lives to help keep our oceans healthy. As Mermaids they bridge the gap between scientific research and everyday knowledge to help foster concern for ocean health.
